Re: Just launched...

camilla_k: That is exactly what I was trying to say. I have never made any claims of keeping it real in my own imaging, as I prefer it eccentricly over-the top. And I do believe there is a misconception here at this forum that all of us aspire to work for glossy fashion mags, where the standard is very strictly set. So, I understand where Ant is coming from, as that is his field of expertise. In my own work I primarely work with accomplished artists, where I am in charge for omptimizing their work for gallery exhibits and book publications. Most of that material is strictly confidential, with contracts preventing me from publically taking credit for it. My portfolio is thus predominantly a showcase of my own projects. And I genuinely appreciate all kinds of feedback, but in a constructive way, much like yours.

winsunn: Thank you for saying. In my work, I refrain from using any filter other than the unsharp mask. My images are accomplished by hours of painting in different opacities. That is all.

Ant: Wow, you really hit rock bottom there with your bullying, taking a swing at my writing too. For your information, I started out my career in writing, and though I excelled in it, I left it for imaging. I understand five languages, out of which I am fluent in three. Yes, my vocabulary may be a teeny more extensive than yours, as I grew up in a very scholastic surrounding. Does that really make it correct of you to mock me?

Even though I find your attention flattering and all, I would rather see you channel all that anger - or whatever it is - into something positive.

Re: Just launched...

From what I see, it looks like you are looking for a 'look' so to speak. Your portfolio seems to start anime, move towards gothic and then more tradtional with restoration. I like the second last and third last images most definitely, but the final image you seem to have changed the personality of.

Re: Just launched...

Well, over the top or not (it's actually just a matter of taste), I see very nice retouches and methods used. Love it

Cassidy: Thank you for the comment. Your observation is correct in that I do vary my style, but try to keep a homogeneous look.

perrush: That is very kind of you to write. I took a look at your website, and have to say that I in particular adore the section with Sara.
