my website...critiques welcome

Right now I'm working with a third party site until I get my business going and can have my own domain. I've gotten a few suggestions on improving my work.

Please take a look at my website and critique my photos. I have a variety of photos up right now just so you get a feel of my work. But I want to do people photography.

I need to edit and update my website by next week (that is my goal). http://gracioussunphotography.photoworkshop.com/

Jeannette,

You have some lovely pictures!

The site was very slow for me and I got impatient waiting for the flash stuff to load. Call me old fashiioned, but I still prefer the gallery type presentation showing me thumbnails and a direct link to the larger view. I even like frames...LOL

hi,

maybe something wrong with my browser but i was unable to bring up the full site.... part of it was very slow comming up then it appears to just stopped loading or finished loading and not show anything except a frame...... or maybe i didn't wait long enough.........

OK try this one. http://gracioussunphotography.zenfolio.com/ I got this site first, it has the same photos. I'll be using this one most likely for clients to preview there photos.

I'm not sure it comes up pretty quick for me. Sorry you were not able to view it. Like I said I'm using third party for now until I get my business going. The first link isa place where they have weekly assignments and you can have your photos critiqued and there is a forum to ask questions. This one my BF gave me as a belated birthday present it's a yearly subscription.

Jeannette... much better. It was a lot quicker without the Flash stuff. I went to the Flowers gallery and liked being able to see all the flowers at once and then focus in on something of interest, but was surprised to be taken another set of thumbs.

I would set up a more direct route. Opening page, thumbs for the portfolio as you have now, then when a selection is made ending up at the view below.

Just a small tip. I have designed websites for over 10 years and the number 1 thing people do that they shouldnt ever do,-- use the following words "under construction" Take of those words on your website. Even if its not finished, no would have known it wasnt. just an idea.
