How I get ready site to rcv. online payments.

Hello All,

Recently I've started my online photo restoration/retouching services. I want to provide options where customer can pay via credit cards (VISA, MASTER CARD, AMEX etc.etc.) & via PAYPAL.

I don't know whom I should contact for it. Please tell me How I include that option into my website. So customer make payment me via my website.

thanks.

Ashkumar

Hi ashkumar. You can all of this functionality through Paypal. That is what I currently have set up on my site. You just need to sign up for a merchant account. You can do this for no cost, although they charge a little more per trasaction. You can get information on how to get this working on Paypal's web site. They have everything that you need, including snippets of code for you to use to get started.

Re: How I get ready site to rcv. online payments.

Hi Ashkumar

I also use Paypal.

Customers also have the choice to pay by credit/debit cards.

You can set up a 'sandbox' test account to test everything before going 'live'

It is strongly recommended to get a SSL certificate as well. This will encrypt the info between customer and server. It also adds the 'padlock' to their browser and will give customers much more confidence to buy from you.

Hope this helps.

Ken.

You can view my site at http://www.DavesDFR.com

You only need the SSL certificate if you are going to process payments on your own page. I let Paypal process the payments, so I never see the customer pay information. The page that excepts payments is handled by Paypal, and they provide the secure connection.
