Its like sunday at the relatives looking at holiday shots

Re: MY Portfolio!!

The images all look pretty good. However, IMO, the thick white borders on the thumbnails look awful. They dominate the thumbnails. Yikes!

Wow. I agree with Ant. That is some ugly work. Reality check people. Don't put it forth if it's not up to par.

Re: MY Portfolio!!

I am not normally the bashing type but I do think your photography/retouching needs a little more work. Keep on pushing and it will come to you.

Good Luck, -W

Re: MY Portfolio!!

You need to update your site to work with firefox3... google iweb fix

I thought the sand photo was the most decent pic on your site. You should maybe experiment with dodge and burn to add more depth to some of your shots - many seemed quite flat. You may also want to invest in professional camera? Sorry but if you have one I can't tell from the shots.
However the camera isn't going to take good shots - for - you. It is a combination of good equipment, skill and natural talent.. like having a good eye.

Good luck!

Re: MY Portfolio!!

I am all about good equipment. Most of my clients shoot medium format with phase one or leaf backs. But, I have also seen some awesome awesome portraits done with a dslr, a window and a hand held reflector. It is all about seeing the light and a great eye for composition. Some say it can be taught but most of the greats just have a god given talent.

Re: MY Portfolio!!

Hello there,

I agree with some previous post, always remember quality is better than quantity. 10 quality images will stand out more than 20+ average ones.
Look at other photographer's websites that are in your same field. Also this is just my opinion, if you are doing photography and retouching separate them in different portfolios.
