Finally redid my site..

Well, I was in here earlier and posted my site, and it left me with a lot of input to work on with. This is the current final result.

I like simplicity and that has to a great extend affected the site.

Thanks for your time and input.

Out of curiosity...
What internet connection do you have? I have a 2 mbit (standart in Denmark), connected wirelessly and with my cookies and page history removed etc. the page takes less than 5 secs to load.

What resolution are you using? This was made for being watched at a decent resolution and still the flash file was build to be only 1200 px wide and the swf file only weighing in at 2.98 mb.

So I don't understand you having problems with it. I don't know anyone who works in resolutions lower than 1400 px. I normally work in 1900 myself. I could be that you're situated in Canada though. The distance would likely toss some latency at the loading time.
Fortunately I'm not looking for work in Canada I'm getting 9 secs in Britain at the moment, which is a sec or two too long, but I can live with that.

Edit: I'd love to hear how long it takes for other people to load.

Re: Finally redid my site..

I HAVE dsl highspeed and a twenty inch monitor
But thats not the point, when doing your site you have to take into account many types of viewers, since you do not know exactly who will be looking at your site.
Its not important what you have, but what other people/customers are using

Actually I don't have to take that into account. Standart is or at least should be past 1024. My way to look at it is if someone browses in, they don't have a screen matching the page' requirements and that they leave on that account, I won't go to bed crying not doing business with them... simple as that.

...and just to refresh what I said. I don't know anyone that I'd like to work with who goes lower than 1200. So actually the page size is fine for what I need it for.

Thanks for input otherwise.

If you are the only one looking at your site, I guess you will be just fine!

Re: Finally redid my site..

You should get a lot of work with that attitude (LOL)
Why ask for comments if you do not care
Your not the only person doing this type of work, its called customer service and without it you will not have customers this is the WORLD wide web shopping for talent is easy
Also how do you know I am not a future client? You do not
just my opinion
