Bulgarian retoucher :)

Hello all,
My name is Nikolay and I am fairly new to the retouching. I am doing this for an year and this is my first self-made website:

www.nikolayangelov.com

I'd appreciate it very much, if you critique it and the works inside. Most of the photos inside are taken from here and I am grateful to the photographers here that made it possible.

Thanks for your time

Nikolay

Re: Bulgarian retoucher :)

I personally like it, quite a bit actually!
Good job, but the background is bothering me.
I think it should be homogeneous. This is a bit distracting!

Cheers!

Re: Bulgarian retoucher :)

Thanks for your input MilanS!
The original idea of the background was to direct the user's attention to the contents of the website with it's lines. But I changed it with something more homogeneous

Cheers!

Re: Bulgarian retoucher :)

I think the goal of the site should be selling your services as a retoucher not as a web designer. Photographer or retoucher should have a web site directly responsible for showing their work online. Easy to navigate, focused mainly on their work, contact, and services.

One other thing, under services in High-end retouch you have listed what kind of services you offer, and you have specified:

- practice DB skin retouch

That is not very descriptive! Only to a fellow retoucher, or photographer skilled in the technique or some other person who specifically knows what that is.
If you know how, you should maybe put a little pop up description of what that is, and you should change DB to D&B (Dodge & Burn) to be more informative. You client base my not be all that techno savvy, if you know what I mean! And at the end of the day you want them to have a clear understanding of what exactly do you offer!
