Another online Portfolio asking for your time ;P

Hi guys,

I've only recently signed up to the forum and I'm also relatively new to the industry too, but I would be extremely grateful for a few feedback pointers for my website.

http://www.garethsmy.com

I've been working freelance for a PR photography Agency called onEdition and I've had the privilege of working on/with some celebs, etc for editorial and web usage (which lets face it, isn't the most precise retouching out there).

I'm looking to get into the serious side of retouching and so I've decided to share with you my online portfolio which i'd like you all to visit and comment upon and I will do my best to reciprocate.

Many thanks,

Gareth

Nice and easy website. The pics in the non-fullscreen mode seem a bit small, but they look fine in fullscreen mode.

Some of the photography stuff is nice, loads of clean lines. The retouching..... well... uhm, you have some issues with selections, making people look fake, and over-retouching. The Ballerina girl looked ok.

Re: Another online Portfolio asking for your time

Thanks for the comments DJSoulglo.

I'll make the thumbnails larger. I must admit they to look a bit lost on a large screen.

Would you be so kind as to be more specific with your critique of my retouched images? I think one of my main problems is colour (because i don't have a corrected monitor). That and the fact I just need to practice more.

Thanks,

Gareth

Hmm, interesting stuff on your site, man! The selection as well as the collection is fair enough but it will be good enough if you use pictures’ aesthetics accordingly. I mean where to place what!
