Please critique my new site

Hello all,
This is my first time posting anything here, so I'd like to formally say hi! I have been lurking about and reading posts for a couple of months now, and the information has been incredibly helpful. Thanks, posters!

Anyway, I'd appreciate it if you could take a moment to view my new site and give me any feedback you have. It's a work in progress--only 12 'before and after' images are up so far.

Also, I'm having a problem centering my page in the browser window. I created it in Fireworks and exported to Dreamweaver as a static page. I can't seem to make the page center if the browser window is bigger than the actual site page. I know this is not a retouching or image issue, but if anyone else has created their own page and has any suggestions, that would be great.

::gulp::
OK, so here's the site.

Thanks in advance for your (gentle) critique!

Re: Please critique my new site

Jeanine, I moved this thread to the Website Feedback forum.
Personally I find it a bit annoying to have to click the close box on each image viewed, especially when the window covers the gallery of thumbnails and I need to mouse back. It would be more desireable if you had a scroll bar with some forward / reverse buttons.
Regards, Murray

Thanks for your comment, Murray. I'm still trying to figure out what works best, so it's good to know what might be "annoying" to navigate.

Re: Please critique my new site

jeanine,

great site and excellent portfolio. I'm not a good webdesigner so I can't answer your question well but as for the page centering, can you use an "align center" attribute on the tables or frames used?Thats something I would do in Dreamweaver.

Tom

You're right, the pop-up windows can be a bit annoying. I have fixed it so that you can now view the images in the main window. I'm still a beginner with website design/building, so I didn't add a scroll bar. But thanks again for the comment. The site definitely looks a bit cleaner now.
