Re: Best Suggestion for Before/After web galleries

Great link dmeadows. thanks for posting it! Thankfully the code is so basic I was able to figure out how to change the "transition speed". If you want it faster, just change the .05 to .03 or so. Speaking of which, dmeadows I think your transition speeds for mouse on/off are different. May want to double check. Great site by the way, very well done!

This is about as straightforward a tutorial I've been able to find on doing this with java - jquery. I believe this is how hart-worx does his as well. http://bavotasan.com/tutorials/creat...r-fade-effect/

Re: Best Suggestion for Before/After web galleries

*bump*

Long time has passed since the last post in this thread. Are there any elegant HTML5 or Java options for a nice "before & after" gallery for mobile devices these days?
Maybe even something where the "before & after" is not just a simple roll-over, but something with a "slider" or "wiper", so that the viewer can interact & decide which part they want to see the before or after?

I'm trying to figure out that too.
Did you look into Adobe "Edge"?

Never heard of Adobe Edge before, but I took a quick look at it.
I've just bought the CS6 Web Suite (full retail, not the cloud version).

So, do I understand this correctly: Adobe Edge services are free, not just a trial?

Very interesting post... I've been dealing with this issue also... always wanted to know how to create a before and after rollover instead of separate images. Thanks to all.

Re: Best Suggestion for Before/After web galleries

this is a Wordpress option.

Why not just make a two image slideshow?

This:

can be configured to play automatically in a loop

I have a feeling like flash has been replaced by something inferior.
Here is an example of a slider I wish to emulate.
