New website design / new work

The hardest part is editing down your own work to a decent small number of 'best of'.

Re: New website design / new work

Immediate thoughts:

•Excellent photo work overall!

As for the site:

•Impressive opening, but is a very heavy (web-unfriendly) download size (you can watch it draw slowly downward, and then it flickered...). I'm viewing this on an ethernet university connection at the moment.

•I clicked to enter (it's not entirely obvious one must do so because the word "enter" is nearly lost visually) and suddenly it seemed I was in a DOS-prompt (it was shocking to go from the image-heavy intro to the zen-sparse info page with teeny text). This would be a perfect place to put a shot of you at work on location. Photography sites need to have visuals!

•I clicked "Portfolio" so I could see some more images which displayed right over the existing page and were easily navigable using the arrow keys, but the descriptor text clashes with the still-visible underlying text from the main text page behind them.

•Your About and Contact pages are redundant. Maybe change the Contact link to an email address and leave the full info on the About page.

•Clients page has oddly spaced columns (too far apart), with teeny text. Again, plenty of room to add visuals here.

Hope that helps! (I think you were asking for it...)

Thank you for your comments.

Yes, the text is too small.. I can see that now. And the gap between the columns in 'clients' isn't looking right.
I don't have problem with download speed though.. it seems fine to me.
