Vikki, I don't think I've ever seen anybody as good as you at this. Beautifully done.

Very nice Vikki. You colored her very well and maintained that antique quality that looks so good on her.

Flawless -- her skin, and your colorization. Beautifully brought to life.

Vicki, I love these old photos, too. This is one of the best colorizations I've seen.
I'll have to keep this in mind to use as inspiration whenever I work on my own things.

This is the only size I found of this photo. I liked it anyway, as I thought it would look rich in color.
BTW
I don't use masks when I do these, just another layer. I paint on the layer, as if I were actually "hand" painting.

Vikki,
Very nice work. I've been playing with "digital makeup" myself and I find it extremely interesting relating to my headshot retouching efforts. What is also fascinating to me is that I am beginning to see how a painter achieves a face in a painting regarding highlights and making the image three dimensional instead of flat. Keep up the very good work!

I wouldn't even know where to start on this type of work. Do you have a special pallette of colors that you made up just for this type of work? What would you print these on, a matt paper? I always look at your work when I come on this site.

Thanks Sheri!
I don't have any special palette. I just pick colors I like. I don't print many of these, but when I do, I don't limit myself to one type of paper. It usually depends on where the image will be displayed.
