I really like this the motion and colours are fantastic - I like the way you have blended them together.
You can feel the motion.

Love it! You can see it moving! Also, the yellowish band across the top of the gazinnias gives the impression that the background is upside down, so you feel like you are as well...dizzying!

Chuck - I think It works well both ways up - its that fantastic swirling motion that CJ has produced.
- I think this is upright as the flower blossom from the original picture is at the top.-
CJ - come see your fan mail

Well, Gollllllleeee! Thanks for the nice words. On this image, all I really had to do was decide "when to stop". Phyllis's leaves and Chuck's blossom are the stars of this show -- their colors are fantastic!
Chris -- I'm glad you like the frame because I tried some other effects to finish it off, but decided it needed a boundary of some sort and hoped that the contrast would help the effect.
Clare - thanks for urging me to upload something besides Retouch challenges to the Gallery!
Chuck-- The answer is -- there is no upside down. I placed several duped layers of Phyllis's leaves above a layer of your blossom (which was shot from straight above). Then I used a variety of Polar Coordinates (both types) and threw a Spherize in for good measure on the leaves.

Great work CJ. At first glance on the gallery page, I thought it was an abstract Halloween pumpkin. Then I clicked on it....and WOW. Really beautiful
