A challenge from a uk mag - not quite to their spec, but I am over the moon about the result and thought I would share it. Comments would be lovely. Thanks.

I love this - the eye is a nice touch and works really well in this composition.
The cross - the man - it looks like a walk of sorrow - a very thought provoking image. This would grace anyones wall.

I heard a saying recently which I thought was beautiful and applies here. It was from a woman who was getting a picture priced for value:

'I am not ready to sell this image, I have had it for many years and am not finished looking at it yet'

Intriguing... It does make you wonder what the man is doing and feeling. The elements are well placed, and the edges go very well with the image. I could look at it for a long time also. Is the image from one photo, or is it a composite? Whenever you put it together, you chose the elements well.

Thanks for the comments! There are four different sections - the landscape and man, sky, eye (obviously!) and the "monument". A gradient was placed on a new layer and then blend mode changed, but thats about it. The challenge was to take four of ten images and make a new image from them. I quite enjoyed doing it and sent my submission to the magazine. Haven't seen it in print yet though ;-)

ya know, you didnt even need that eye in the background. that pic was quite good without the addition. and as the others said... thought provoking! very nicely done!
