Greg, this is fantastic. Very direct & elegant. Is this an example of something you might get produced as a giclee print? I love the landscape. is it from a painting? It feels like a renascence space, or maybe Salvador Dali. What size is the masterfile?

Chris - I am familiar with Bacon's work from the late 40's to early 50's, but not so much his later stuff.

Gerry - The landscape is from a slide my great grandfather took while in Arizona. I actually have you to thank for this image! I was looking at the gallery on Friday and your "Primrose" image reminded me of some scans I made of flowers and shells a while ago...I started to mess around with the images over the weekend and came up with this. The PSD file with all of the layers, is around 110 MB. I'll probably wait to print it until I get the new Epson printer and then make an edition of 8"x10"s on watercolor paper. It should make a good first image to test the printer with!

No sea shell is safe around you lately. I think I like this one the best. It has a Dali feel to it.

Greg - this is very cool! It's one of those that I opened up and just said, "Wow!" I love how the "beams" follow the angle of the shell. And the juxtaposition of the shell and the desert landscape brings a bit of "tension" into the photo. Definitely feels like there's some "energy!"

I like the texture in the transparency of the shell in the sky background, very nice touch. I love good surreal paintings and images and you create some nice works of art.
