Did this for a friend of mine at work. We had a discussion on aging one day. Well....hers came to life. Used a source image of my Mother (68 yo)for the skin. Put skin on its own layer in luminosity mode to keep my friends skin tones. did a little dodge and burn on an overlay layer filled with 50% gray (I feel this is much more accurate than the dodge and burn tool. A couple hours later...older 26yo to 68yo. I still have to work on the hair though...its tough to make someone's hair gray. Anyone have any suggestions?

That is superb, well done! the hair is fine, I would just get the bit above her right ear, nothing more will be needed IMO. Collin

Well done! I agree with Collin that nothing more need be done. The hair above the right ear doesn't even bug me.

Very well done. The eyebrows catch my attention as you didn't do any aging there. Perhaps just a bit of thinning and graying there to make the image complete. I might even thin the lips just a bit too, but that's being picky. Nice job adding the wrinkles. As for the hair. I think you did a great job turning it gray. The only area that needs a bit of a touch up is the area by her right ear, but it really doesn't bother me. So what did you friend think of the image?

Well...I happen to think you did a good job on the hair. Nice work overall.

wow, that's kinda creepy! I noticed the same thing as T, the one thing I'd try doing is adding a bit of graying to the eyebrows.

I've only just started using photoshop at school and we're learning to do aging. I think what you've done is great!!

nice try on her face
I reckin if you really wanted her to be old, then you should do something for the volume of her body.
