That's putting it mildly! It's so out of focus I think I would tell the client, "sorry, life is too short" and go make some cookies instead. Chocolate chip, I think.

When life is too short, use the Healing brush

http://www.retouchpro.com/temp/1629new-image[1].jpg

Sharpened using Highpass filter on a duplicate layer and Hardlight blend mode.
Made two separate passes with the Polaroid D/S filter, one for dark spots, one for light.
Got rid of stains by sampling them, making a new fill layer with the sampled color, then setting blend mode to Color to stain the entire image, then desaturated.
Then Healing brush, dodge tool, etc.

Obviously it still needs some cloning on the suit, but life's too short

5 minutes, but double that to include the missing cloning.

Wow Doug! I'm amazed at what you did in such a short time. I've always considered myself a Photoshop "pro" but I've never gotten into experimenting with the healing brush. You've convinced me that it's a necessity!

You might as well laugh at yourself once in a while; everybody else does.

Where did the picture go ? The link does not go the finito picture, instead to a list of topics/forums.

We've moved servers at least twice since that was posted. I guess it didn't get moved one of those times. Probably due to being in the temp directory.

Sorry.
