Dave took the photos with the intention of putting them together in a photo album long before Photoshop. I thought putting them together would be no problem but it was trickier than I thought. Had to adjust the perspective slightly to line them up properly and then fudge in some of the rocky clif areas and sky. Turned out better than I thought it would. Sure was a pretty sight.

DJ, wonderful job of merging -- if you hadn't told me, it wouldn't have occurred to me! Beautiful image and memory.

Thanks CJ. It was such a beautiful place. That's the castle Disney used as a model.

Oh this is beautiful.

I just found the rest of the gallery today and I'm having fun.

How big did you print this picture.

I haven't printed it yet. I'm no photographer so I appreciate the compliment. Thanks.

Your work is impressive. This stuff takes such a good eye, precision and lots of patience.

I envey you. We lived in Germany about 6 years all told when I was a kid and never got to Neuschwanstein.

I understand the interior is quite spectacular (very gilded.) Did you get to tour the place?

Thanks for the nice comments Trish. It was tricky since even the coloring of the 3 photos didn't match and the perspective was slightly off. Then I had to fill in where the hill side was with out making tracks.
Yes we did get the tour. It is quite beutiful inside. Very ornate and guilded but as opulent as it is inside, I think the real beauty is on the outside. It's the castle Disney chose as thier model for obvious reasons.

You did a superb job... I wouldn't have known if you hadn't said it was three photos. I just got my books on Germany in the mail yesterday...we are planning to travel there next summer. This castle has been on my "must see" list for years. I will download your lovely picture and use it for wallpaper to inspire me to save the money!
