You did a great job creating a realistic color scheme. I especially like your choice for background colors...it works great with the portrait and I like how her hair isn't a solid color, but has hints of warm tones where the lights hit it. Very nicely done! Care to share a little of your technique?

Vikki:
Absolutely great job!. The colors were well chosen and the coloration is as real as it gets. I can see a number of dfferent colors making up her skin, just like what one sees in real life. It' so well done, that it looks like you turned a color photo grayscale, not the other way around.
I started practicing the technique, but I'll need to get a lot more practice before I can make it look life-like.

hi vikki:-)
I really love your work.
i read the tutorial about this technique but i don't understand the purpose of the grey filled masks and coloring of layers... i think i could never do this alone;-). can you explain to me, why this technique is so unique and why you appreciate it so much? thank you in advance! i hope to see a lot more of your work.
many regards,
tanja
