Nicely done and good enough to eat! One critique: the background isn't as sharp as your butterfly and as a result the butterfly appears to be floating over the background.

thank you

and yes, i know. that bugs me too. i drew the wrapper from scratch and overlayed the butterfly on it. i shld have sharpened it more before doing so. not sure now why i didnt. if i've got the file saved as layers i may go back and fix it.

T Paul,

i took your advice and changed the 'wrapper'. i remember now why i had it blurred. it had a pattern i didnt like and the quick answer was to blur it. so, this time, i simply smudged the pattern out a bit which left the overall much sharper.

i just also edited this picture to change it here in the forum, but the intermediate smaller view is skewed on the aspect ratio. the larger view is fine, but how do i change this intermediate look? it's too long for the height. the pic is 800 x 600, but looks 800 x 400 or so. the thumbnail looks fine.
