I wanted to make this pic look a little closer to its era. I am still working on it (removing the new cars, haha) but wanted the overexposed, 70's look. Its a 1960's art-deco pub, in Newcastle, Australia.

Hi aylaah, what a surprise to see my old watering hole here on the forum. I lived in Merewether most of my life and was a regular at the Beaches during the mid 70's to the 90's.
The stairs leading down to the street have been removed. Also, the beer garden had two smaller stairs leading up from the street. There was a typical glass painting out the front of the Frederick St, entrance at the top of the old stairs. The original painting was of Merewether baths and was removed in the 80's and a bland Reschs beer glass painting replaced the original. I think the original is still at the Thooths Brewery museum in Sydney.
Here’s a link that you my be interest in. It shows the inside of the old public bar as you enter from the Ridge St, entrance.

I think these are part of a set.

Thanks!
My husband is a chef there now - the original photo was a 'show the parents where I work' snapshot. The history is great though! And thanks so much for the links!
