This is my first posted photo on here and I'm hoping to get some good feedback on my technique, outcome, etc, etc. I really appreciate anyone's comments. Original is posted here: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2319/...d9e1e5c0_o.jpg
My process included:
Extending background.
Curves adjustment layer to burn whites of eyes, teeth, lips and her jewelry.
Added some highlights in her eyes by painting white on soft blend mode.
Dodge and burn with 50% Grey layer for contouring.
Clone stamp for stray hairs.
Pumped eye color by painting on color blending mode.
Skin was actually done between the first two steps above. Began with patch tool for large blemishes, clone stamp for small blemishes, made a "skin layer" selection via Color Range then duplicated it. Bottom layer received very little surface blur and low opacity (I know). Top layer received high pass set to soft light blending mode.

it's a good shot. you've cleaned it nicely, good skin tones, well composed, and your lighting is consistent. and, whereas i dont normally like brighter backgrounds, since they tend to pull attention away from the main object, this one works fine. i'm thinking it's probably because you incorporated it with the light source itself. so, nicely done
