Ruud, you should have told us that this is part of a retouching course (both the image and the technique). Well, for the rest, it might be helpful -> check the website http://www.digitalphotoshopretouching.com. They offer a tutorial covering a full retouching session of this 39 megapixel image. In the bundle they provide a few more images and the PSD files.

No, this is just some practise work of me

yes i've got that DVD, but there is almost nothing in there that i learned about, it were all basics, thing I already knew And believe me, maybe it has the same name as the technique he use, but that technique has allot of versions, and that one of him is destructive, mine is not destructive so NO its not the same technique

I have taht dvd also. And finally I reached something professional. It is a best tutoarial I ve ever seen. But when I saw Ruud s job,I have to say,you are better tahn vitaly, but maybe little bit more plastic...it all about taste,it is complicated. But definetly respect to Ruud and Vitaly as well.

Hello Majo,

You're right the way he use the D&B technique is destructive, if prefer a other method, i can give you some good links to tutorials and i give you one tip: never blur skin to make it smooth.

Skin Dodge and burn:

http://nienna1990.deviantart.com/art...rt-1-101369803 PART 1
http://Nienna1990.deviantart.com/art...rt-2-101370039 PART 2

http://retouchpro.com/tutorials/?m=show&id=272

Skin tone:

http://www.smugmug.com/help/skin-tone

I retouch now for about 5 years, so it isnt something you can learn in 3 days, of course you can learn and use the technique, but you must learn to see the details and thing you should leave or have to remove etc. BTW, it is old work from me.

Good luck!

hi Majo.

Youre welcome
I can't really give a opinion since i only have a small version, i cant see the quality. (your image is just to small..) but what i see looks nice, only the woman is completely different in the after. also her mouth looks weird now. 6.8 keep on, every retouch will get better after a while.
