Mina de Sao Domingos is an abandoned copper mine lying just a few km's away from the town of Mertola, Alantajo. It was an open cast mine and covers a vast area.
The photo is an HDR of four images with 1/2 a stop difference on each one. I cloned out one or two branches so as to keep a nice arch to guide the eye into the picture. Just added a little darkening to the edges for same reason.
