That is so nice. It looks like it could be the cover of a good book. Excellent work.

Very cool! My son, now 14, was also a dino-nut from an early age. For his 5th birthday, I had to paint dino murals on his bedroom walls. He loved them, but I had to cover the volcano background at night, lest they "erupt" while he slept and he couldn't get away.

It makes perfect sence to me as I can see it did to you too!
This is the magic of the mind - imagination and it is ever so fresh and wonderful in the young. We who have aged must take care not to loose it. It is the stuff of our craft without it we are mere technicians executing procedures and not creating.
BRAVO for keeping him safe from the volcanos mom!
I think you really understand why I did the picture above.

I can relate to this entirely. What is it about little girls (and boys) and dinosaurs? You'd think they'd be scared of the idea of enormous, slimy, meat-eating monsters. But no! My kids love 'em too.
Wonderful picture, Trish - sort of half fantasy, half reality.

Sam,
You are so right! My grandaughter happened into the living room where Jurassic Park was playing on the video (away from the kiddie show playing in the play room.) Up until that point I would have never thought of a child wanting to see such a movie. I shooed her away frearful she'd be terrified and start having nightmares. No such thing, it was the beginning of a fascination with dinos.
I know they fascinated me and my son when we were kids (and just between you and me -- they still do!)
She absolutely adores the Disney movie "Dinosaurs." She is well aware who are the bad and good dinos.
