  • Looking for jewelry retouching work(freelance)

I am new on this site, very glad to have found it. I have been doing jewelry photo retouching in nationwide trade magazine and ads for most of the past decade. I charge competitive and fair rate. Here are some links to see some of my work. I have an art background as well, you may view my art portfolio on my profile contact info.

The images look very good, but I think you should show before and after on your own site.
    Good luck.

Re: Looking for jewelry retouching work(freelance)

The reason was my clients didn't want me to post raw photos of their jewelry on my site. Trust me the raw photos needed work, even though the quality of the jewelry was really good, there were wax, dusts, little threads that got hooked onto the pieces, backgrounds had lots of stuff that needed to be taken out. individual stones needed work, individual facets needed work to bring out brilliance, enhance cuts, remove scratches, certain exaggeration was needed to make the jewelry look even more alive than looking at it in real life. I find jewelry photo retouching to be just as creative as model photography, in some ways jewelry retouching artists have more control over the end products than working in fashion photographs.

I know retouchers who only do jewelry and I can understand your point. But even my friends I am talking about show before and after or maybe show steps taken to create the finished product. Any way good luck.

I have another job tomorrow(styling, I do jewelry photo styling as well), see if I could convince my client to let me post some photos of before photos, or in progress photos.

I could email samples of before and after shots to those interested.

Strange or not, but most clients work with, have never asked me B&A, but they did asked me to show more work that i didn’t post on the web, gems for example, seems most of the time they want to see the final product...
