Is it the site?

I've been on the site twice today, and both times it took an awful long time for things to come in. I just got back from viewing one of the challenges, and it took over three minutes to load. Is anyone else having that problem? I'm on DellNet (MSN).

For about ten minutes today I could not even get on the site...DNS error. It was right after I posted something....hmm...maybe I broke it!

I've been on periodically today with no problems. I have had troubles in the past though with not being able to get on or when I am on, the new page takes forever to load if at all. I think that's normal and as long as it's sporatic that's ok I guess. I know it happens on other sites I've been on so I think it's par for the course.

I wish I'd known about this sooner

As for the site outages, we're on a shared server that's getting crowded. Not a lot I can do about it. This is one of the things you have to put up with when you go for the low bidder.

The company I contract with has fixed some problems, and do seem to be getting better. I've never used a host that didn't have some problems, and the next comparable bid was like double the price (with no promise that they'd be any better).

I do apologize, both for previous problems and any future ones. Perhaps one of these days we'll be so big and popular we can run on a dedicated server. Of course, by that time I'll be insane from posting the hundred Challenge entries per day
