As for the site outages, we're on a shared server that's getting crowded. Not a lot I can do about it. This is one of the things you have to put up with when you go for the low bidder.
The company I contract with has fixed some problems, and do seem to be getting better. I've never used a host that didn't have some problems, and the next comparable bid was like double the price (with no promise that they'd be any better).
I do apologize, both for previous problems and any future ones. Perhaps one of these days we'll be so big and popular we can run on a dedicated server. Of course, by that time I'll be insane from posting the hundred Challenge entries per day

I've been on periodically today with no problems. I have had troubles in the past though with not being able to get on or when I am on, the new page takes forever to load if at all. I think that's normal and as long as it's sporatic that's ok I guess. I know it happens on other sites I've been on so I think it's par for the course.

For about ten minutes today I could not even get on the site...DNS error. It was right after I posted something....hmm...maybe I broke it!

Is it the site?
I've been on the site twice today, and both times it took an awful long time for things to come in. I just got back from viewing one of the challenges, and it took over three minutes to load. Is anyone else having that problem? I'm on DellNet (MSN).

I've been suspecting there is a problem with my ISP for a while. Today (Mon. Aug. 13) I tried to connect to RetouchPro, but couldn't get through from about 4 - 5 P.M. But - I was able to get to other sites. Has anyone else had a problem getting through to this site?

After 24 hours, I'm finally able to get on the site. It just so happens that I don't have time to do much now.
Got started on making a cabinet for the bathroom. Now I've gotta finish it.

I decided to get rid of all the cookies I didn't want, and I found there were well over 400 on my hard drive since last January. I decided to make my options for privacy a little higher. Quite a few people have said that they were lurkers for quite a long time before posting. While lurking is good to get a feel for the site, extended lurking is something I'd like to get a handle on.
