Mother's Day is a day for me to reflect on how lucky I am - two handsome, charming sons, a delightful daughter-in-law who is mother to my grandchildren and a mother who at 81 is still in excellent health both mentally and physically and I lucky enough to be retired early so I have time to enjoy them all!! I feel truly blessed.
.....and, of course, I'd like to join Margaret in wishing a happy Mother's day to everyone.....
I also have two grown-up children, a son and a daughter....alas they live rispectively in Germany and in the UK, so I often get "withdrawal symptoms"....I'm not blessed with any grandchild yet, but I'm not losing hope....
For those non-amerkins amongst us, Memorial Day is the traditional beginning of summer for us. We celebrate by hanging out flags and roasting dead animals in the backyard (for my part I'm putting bbq sauce on my soy burger). It's also the end of the season where you can safely attend movies on weekdays...
