We all know they are THE highest lifeform on the planet. Just ask one of them!
I am proud to be allowed to be the devoted servant of an older tuxedoed feline gentleman. My purpose in life is to see to the comfort of THE CAT. haha
Oh, and if you are poking around in that site, you are looking at assignments from some of those online classes we were discussing in an earlier thread.
Not sure who wrote it but it's pretty accurate I think.
Also--what is it about cats that makes them so fascinated with computers? We have a 6 month old kitty, Reuben, who likes nothing better than helping me work on the computer. I'm afraid he's going to go blind by the age of 2 from sitting directly in front of the monitor waiting for some cursor "action." He's also quite fond of licking the monitor. Then of course right when I'm in the middle of an intricate selection I feel the mouse cord being pulled out of my hands from underneath the desk. Then there's those fun times when he decides to leap directly on top of the keyboard and then of course everything goes beserk. I guess if anything else it's taught me to save--save--save--save cause you never know what's gonna happen next!
Know what you mean. My cat, upon deciding that enough attention is not being directed her way makes it a point to stomp on the keyboard usually hitting the SHIFT and CTRL keys plus others resulting in some really attention grabbing screen developments. I heard once that if want devotion and love get a dog. If you want to be treated like the hired help, get a cat. Tom
Amanda....sounds like you got a real game of Cat and Mouse going there.
Tom....Are you trying to say that some of those great results you've been getting on the challenges are actually your cat doing a dance on the keys? Now we know where the true talent lies in you house.
Its pitch dark outside my house at the moment with a longhaired white tomcat sat on the window ledge outside looking at the fool on the computer inside. He's not stupid the light from my office attracts huge moths to the glass where said cat catches and eats them, spits out the wings though !
He's breaking in a new apprentice at the moment, however the kitten can't make the window ledge just yet his paws appear as he hangs there and drops off. Dad looks on and spits out more wings !
We have three cats at home (all rescues) who seem to take great delight in messing up everything they...um....I mean WE....I mean THEY....own!
One of ours discovered that if she lays behind the computer just right, she can disconnect the mouse--don't think she doesn't do it out of feline glee (to watch me frantically trying to figure out why my mouse/pen/tablet won't work!)
They earn their keep, however, in steady purring, sit-on-my-lap-all-night sweetness.
How many do you all have?? Am we doomed to be the crazy couple up the street with all the cats?!?!?
Hi G,
I can picture you tearing your hair out and ready to throw the computer out the window all to the delight of one naughty cat. I had two at one time and they were always surprising me somehow, so I know of what you speak.

Here's a little sound that I have hidden over in my class pages. Just couldn't stand to get rid of it when just about 99.9999% of the stuff from my original "play" site went in the garbage.
I won't bore you with hunting for the link, here's the spot with the sound itself.
Soo, gather your kitties nearby, crank up your volume and click this:
