Hey everyone, first post!
I come to you, not only as a newbie to the forum, but to the art of retouching and photography as well. I just started an internship under a St. Louis photographer, and I'm learning everything I can, from assisting to retouching. I assisted my first editorial shoot just this past weekend, and had a blast!
I intend to take this art form to the professional level, and work as a freelance photographer and retoucher. I've spent the last few months buried in research, magazine articles, other retoucher's work, Lynda.com tutorials on software and techniques, and just anything and everything I can learn about it all.
I have always loved the power of the internet to connect with and learn from other people, and forums like this are the universities of the web. So thanks in advance to everyone here for the wealth of knowledge I'm about to dive into as I search the many threads.
