I didn't realize this forum existed until I found a reference on DPREVIEW.

I work a bit with SILKYPIX DS Pro8 with photos I take myself, but I have come into the possession of a lot of old family photos 1890s and later that Id like to clean up - new territory for me.

Not familiar with your editing software but this link might provide a helpful start to your project.

When you get into SILKYPIX DS Pro8 always try the automatic Levels/color/tone/etc. first, sometimes they work quite well
