I just asked my wife if there were more "brother" or "sister" acts in pop music. Surprisingly, I could only think of a few brother or sister acts in pop music. How many can you think of?
Dixie Chicks - 2 are sisters, one is not
Hanson - 3 brothers
The White Stripes were supposed to be brother and sister but actually turned out to be ex-husband and wife.
2 of the New Kids on the Block were brothers
Geez! A bunch of kids on here! I was thinking more on the lines of the Fontaine sisters, the McGuire sisters, the Ames brothers, the Andrew sisters, the Mills brothers.....you know, the ones I remember just before time began!
I guess you would consider them the generic brand, along with the Lennon Sister. I will correct myself however, they were the King Family. Old Lawrence Welk staples.
Debbie.
Even though I was just a kid then--I remember watching Lawrence Welk--I had a crush on the clarinet player in the orchestra who always did solos. Ya. I know--I was a geeky kid. HAHAHA. What about the Pointer Sisters?
