last night I saw an interesting show on "48 hours" about retouching work in magazines, if anybody's interested there's an online article which pretty much summarizes what was in the show here
But the type of retouching they are talking about is not your average photo retouching, they have their own custom made programs that are really unreal to do the stuff they do. I saw a demo once and they can put in "take off 20 pounds" and sap, the person is 20 pounds slimmer.
interesting Platscha, I haven't read much about it. on the program they did show a retoucher using photoshop on her mac using some of the basic tools, even if they do have advanced algorithms to do things like you're talking about it's not magic, and I have serious doubts that it's a flawless system, I'm sure you'd still have to know what you're doing to do that kind of work.
The sins of retouching stir a backlash. But will fashion ever get real?
I like the way they put those three covers of Witherspoon right next to each other. I've never seen that before, and, yeah, that's a bit of a problem with modern...
Those of you who've followed my somewhat checkered career, know that I've done some volunteering at the local Seniors' center in the computer lab and even did a couple of stand-up routines based on PhotoShop Elements - to rave reviews I might add
Hello! I'm a new member, but I've been Photoshop since Photoshop 6 was new.
I'm not an expert at retouching photos... most of my experience is in web design but I've practiced a lot and can usually fix most any problem in a picture.
