  • From The Heart.....

All of my friends and associates on this side of the pond are shocked and outraged by the terrible events unfolding in NYC and other parts of your country. Please accept our thoughts and commiserations at this very difficult and tragic time.

Thanks so much for the kind words Chris.

It does help to know this side of the pond is not alone in their fight for freedom. I have felt the same way as you when some tragedy has happened in England or other parts of Europe.

Thank you again for the heartfelt words.

Thank you Chris. I guess attacking the US is the same as attacking Britian because of our close relationship to each other. I know how I would feel if the same thing were done to any of our European nations. And with this kind of terrorism we all are victims and need to band together as nations against this kind of cowardly act. Scarier than what happened today is what's going to happen in the future becasue of this. It's a frightening thought.

Thanks Chris. It was brutal seeing it on TV. I can't imagine what it must have been like to actually be there. We appreciate your thoughts in a time like this.

Chris h., Your and your associates thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated. I hope that those responsible for this act of lunacy are remembering something Admiral Yamamato said around 60 years ago, following another such cowardly incident,..." ....we have awakened a sleeping giant".... to underestimate American resolve and response is a fatal blunder, as will be soon seen. From me too

I'm in the UK too - London.

I know there is a tangible feeling af amazement and shock in this city at the moment. Our thoughts - and I'm sure the thoughts of most of the world are with the families and friends of the victims.

Of all our Allies, England still stands premier. No wavering or excuses. Inspiring and appreciated!!!! Tom

                        Thanks, Chris and Mark!

Watching the Queen, Prime Minister Blair, Prince Charles, and hundreds of English parishioners sing "The Star Spangled Banner" this morning was amazing and inspirational.

With a valiant ally such as England and the whole UK beside us, fanatic terrorists shall fail in their ultimate purpose.

Thanks for the photo. It's really uplifting to know that we're not alone in this.

From what I saw of the 'Changing of the Guards' at Buck House there seemed to be a large number of US residents and tourists in attendance as well as our own people.

I only wish our own national anthem had the 'gravity' of your own or the 'fire' of France's 'La Marseillaise'

                              The queen ...etc

Sorry I feel compelled to say this but none of that made any difference. I think most of all its important to realise that its a humanitarian response.

Most of all at this point, I just hope that foolish actions don't make the situation for all of us much worse.

Just edited this post -"foolish actions", it looks like a premonition I had then has been borne out now looking at Iraq and Afghanistan, sadly

Without the generous donation of the moderators time, Doug wouldn't be able to keep the site going -- at least not in it's current state. I just don't know what to say about this picture...but I just went with my feelings on this one and not much more I can say other than I feel so terribly bad for the families of these victims....

Too much media coverage since 9-11?
                                by DJ Dubovsky
Just curious, but since the disaster of September 11, has all the media coverage helped you be more informed or is it giving you too much news and scaring the heck out of you? I know I am still eager to know what's going on but sometimes there is so much news going on that it gets a bit over whelming....

I just wanted to make a quick stop in to wish all of my friends a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Our family has much to be thankful for this year, as in years past. Today we will agree to not buy Christmas gifts for each other. Instead, we will each be picking a name off of the "Giving Tree"...

                                Chris,
How did you manage to make it the week? You are moving through this forum so fast I can't keep up with you. Can we take it from this that you really missed us? I can imagine me when I go away for awhile. I'll probably try finding computers along the way just to keep up with...
