here's a couple of my favorite treats:
Chocolate chip cookies
the best chocolate chip cookie recipe I've ever found.
1. Beat 2/3 cup melted butter,
2 Cups lightly packed brown sugar,
2 Eggs,
2 Tbsp Hot water Mix well.
2. Stir in 2 2/3 cups all purpose flour,
1 tsp baking powder,
1/4 tsp salt
1 package (300g) Milk chocolate chips
3. bake at 375f for 8-10 minutes.
Makes about 5 dozen cookies
- From the Chipits milk chocolate chips bag
Peanut butter cups
quite a lot of work, but it's worth it. tastes a lot like Reese peanut
butter cups.
Ingredients:
1.
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
4 tbsp grated paraffin wax (sounds gross but it wont work without it)
2.
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
3/4 cup icing (confectioner's) sugar
2 tbsp graham cracker crumbs
1 tbsp Milk
1.
Combine both chocolate chips and wax in a medium sauce pan on lowest heat. stir continually until melted. remove the pan to hot pad. divide into 2
equal portions. return 1 portion to the pan. measure 2 tsp of the chocolate mixture into foil or paper baking cups. use the back of a small spoon to push the cocolate up the sides of the baking cup about a 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) . repeat for 24 cups until all of the 1st portion of the chocolate mixture. place cups in refrigerator until hard.
2.
Combine the remaining 3 ingredients in a bowl. mix well. divide in half. roll each half into a rope. cut each rope into enough peices so that the total equals the number of baking cups prepared. press each peice to fit over the chocolate in the paper cup. chill 10 minutes. warm the remaining chocolate chip mixture. spoon 2 tsp over the top of eadh cup. chill.
Makes 24 chocolates
- Recipe by Jean Pare in a Companys Coming book.
Even if i follow the recipes carfully, I still have problems cooking/ baking. for example the last time I atempted making cookies I ended up accidentally catching a paper towel under the pan, dropping it in the oven, and starting a fire in there
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! The recipes are good, I guess im just a chronic bad cook.
