    Any wine drinkers out there?

I'm always on the lookout for good, but inexpensive, wines. A current favorite is Bogle Petite Sirah. It's under $10 and is a great red wine for summer time. It's somewhat like a Zinfandel, only a bit spicier.

    Hi Greg

Both of your new threads hit home with me. My wife and I are always looking for good bargains. One tip we got from friends in maryland is Estrella Cabernet Sauvinon (CAl. I think. I have none here to look at right now). In maryland it is approx 10 dollars for a double bottle. It is a really good table red. Here in Pa. (The land of state liquor stores) I like the Italian winery Trentino Cabernet Sauvinon it is $13 for a double here in Pa.

I WILL drive to Ma. for a case of Estrella on given occasions.

Don't think less of me because I am always looking for doubles.

Any good tips from NC. I'll get my sis to bring me some from down there when she visits.

      Hi Jerry!

We have a pretty good wine store here in Raleigh called Seaboard Wine Warehouse. They have regular tastings and are very helpful to wine newbies like me. I felt like a fish out of water in a lot of places!

I bought a pretty good bottle of South African wine called "Goats Do Roam" from there. It was right around $10 and is an excellent "blend" - 33% Pinotage, 22% Shiraz, 13% Grenache, 13% Carignan, 10% Cinsault, 5% Gamay Noir and 4% Mourvèdre.
I believe Pinotage is native to South Africa.
