  • Instant Spiced Tea Mix

    Spiced Tea

    1 1/4 cups Tang
    2/3 cup instant tea with sugar and lemon
    1 tsp ground allspice
    1 tsp ground cloves
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp grated lemon rind
    1/4 tsp grated orange rind

    Combine all ingredients; stir well.
    Store mix in an airtight container.
    To serve, spoon 3-4 tsp mix into a cup, add boiling sater; stir well.

    Yield: about 25 servings

    3 tsp serving: Calories 90; Fat 0g; Cholesterol 0mg; Sodium 1mg

    Sounds great T, but I think I will omit the cloves.

      DJ,

      Actually the cloves give it that spicey kick, but are not as strong as you might fear. It is really quite good and perfect on a cold winter's day.

        It sounds like a good hot tea. I wonder if it would work as iced tea?

          Ed,

          Actually the spices and such in this recipe would probably be best as a hot tea vs a cold one, but you never know till you try!
