    1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries

Beat sugar and cream cheese together in a mixing bowl. mix in cocoa, then beat in eggs one at a time. add cream and vanilla and beat in slowly. fold in cherries.
pour mixture over chilled crust and bake at 325F for approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes, then run knife around edge to loosten and cool completely.

David, I think it is cruel and unusual punisment to put a cheesecake recipe on the forum so close to the 1st of the year. My diet will last for at least another week or two. Could't you have waited?

I can't believe I missed this thread before. I could smell the chocolate, but didn't know where it was coming from. Sounds like a real winner to me!

              Really Good Marinade!
              by PixelHawk
My stepmother turned me on to this. If you want a good marinade (especially for tri-tip), use Italian salad dressing. I like Wishbone Robusto Italian because it has big chunks of garlic in it. Let it marinade overnight, then throw on the grill. yum!
