    Re: Time-travel movies

    Mr. Crazyfly1;
    Along the lines of your book is a movie called "Frequency" and it is quite a nail-biter. In fact, even closer than that is a movie now in the theaters called "17 Again" and it's very funny. Well, very funny for me. Then again I'm the one sending a letter to a Mr. Crazyfly1. The idea of traveling back in time and checking things out has been with us forever. If we actually did it can you imagine how careful you would have to be. You could step on a flower that the guy behind you would have picked up if you didn't do that and that flower had a chemical that cured some terrible sickness and because you stepped on it you altered history in a vast and unforeseen way. Careful where you walk or ask for.

      Horror movies

      I was going to post this as a 'guilty pleasure', but I actually don't feel all that guilty about it: I love a good horror movie.

      I just watched "Cube" and can recommend it (kind of gross, but excellent production values).

      I'll pass on most horror series, although...

      OK, we have a thread for books, a thread for music, an entire forum for cooking, it's about time we had a thread for my favorite subject: movies.

      I'm a total moviephile. I have every movie channel our cable system offers, and's biggest subscription package. And I wish I had...

      Private pearls
      by Doug Nelson
      We've discussed movies that are guilty pleasures, but how about movies that we love that no one else seems to have seen?

      One of my all-time favorite movies is 'the Stunt Man', but I rarely run into anyone that has seen it (or gets it if they have).

      What are movies that...

      Full Frontal (no, it's not what you think)

      No, this movie isn't porn, it is a Stephen Soderburg-on-acid flick that, in my opinion, is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I hated it. Critics loved it. 'Nuf said.

      The only thing worse was a movie called "Random Hearts" that came out a few years ago.
