I just want to thank you Doug, I am really thrilled to have found this site and you are most kind to host it! I think I have found a new passion in this photo restoration stuff, I have so much to learn, but what a great resource here! Now I need more photos to work (play) with, so if anyone has some hanging around drop me a line. (BIG files are no prob as I just got a nice new cable connection! Yeeeha!) I could also use a 19" monitor, new scanner and a good printer. Har har har. How about a job?

I can't help you with the hardware, but I could use some tips/tutorials for restoration in PSP (since I'm a Photoshop geek)

Hi!
This is such a great site! I really enjoy how easy it is to get around and the drop down menu is great!
The entries are great and I have already picked up some great hints! It is so interesting how different everyone's view is and how wonderful too! Very talented group here. I love Photoshop/ lot of fun! I have added this to my favorite list!

Doug, this is a truly wonderful site. I teach Photoshop to a variety of people, and have directed my on-line UCLA class to your site for "challenging" projects.
I hope you don't mind that I have done this, and if not, I will continue to recommend you to my students.

Mind? Please, I live for this!
Tell your students that there will be many more Challenges, and encourage them to submit their own work for discussion (both for the Challenges, and for the Gallery).
Thanks for the recommendation

Great site!
I own a business offering print retouching, enhancement, oils and restoration. Most of my work is still performed in the traditional way, directly on the print.I "dabble" with digital and occasionally by accident manage to accomplish what I'm trying to do with Photoshop.
This site will be a fantastic learning tool!

I'd love to see more traditional (non-digital) retouchers here. Perhaps you could spread the word? I put a special place on the forum just for this, and I'd love to see you participate in our Challenges or scan in one of your favorite restore jobs (before/after) for our gallery.

Doug,
As I responded on the Adobe forums, I think that this is a good idea for a site, but the reality is looking to be better then I expected.
Thanks for doing the work to host this fine site.

Doug you could be my lifesaver. Having been in computers for 25+ years and interested in photography since I had a plastic Diana camera at age 6, [that's a long time ago ;-)] my family believe that I should be able to restore, print, enhance any picture they throw at me. I have been looking for a site like this for months.

I just found your website on Thursday, and I love it. I have been an Adobe photoshophile since version 1.0, and have just gotten into retouching. I worked on Challenge #6 a little this weekend and submitted it last night.
It's so nice to know there other people who love moving pixels around like I do.
Thanks for a great website
