Recently, RetouchPRO has started keeping all of the threads that I don't read marked as new -- bold face, etc. I actually prefer the old way that all threads are marked as read when I leave the site.

I am OK marking stuff as read manually, but don't know how to do this. Any suggestions?

The option is under quick links on the menu bar.

There's another link at the bottom of the main forum page.

        Forum Search Function
        by Mining Art
I was wondering how the forum New Posts is set up. Seems like when I return to find a thread the function will bring up a whole different batch of posts. I have been saving the links to find threads as they do not stick in one place it seems? Posting activity does not appear to be the issue, as the...

        New Posts feature
        by Caitlin
I have found the New Posts feature invaluable - and is basically how I access the forum now. HOWEVER it doesn't seem completely accurate. I notice I'm missing out on a number of posts - for instance there was a new post in the April Contest this morning, but it didnt come up on the New Posts list. ...

        TIP: Bookmarking pages
        by Doug Nelson
You can bookmark any forum page. This includes the 'View New Posts' page.

You could also make 'View New Posts' your browser homepage, so you'd see the new posts as soon as you start up your browser.

        What am I missing
        by Swampy
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but when I log in to RTP and see my avatar and the notice that there are 33 unread messages, I click on that number and I only get a list of 10 or 15 threads. I understand that there may be several messages in a single thread that might get listed as unread, but I feel...

TIP: How did I miss that thread?
        by Doug Nelson
The way the forum tracks which threads you've read and which ones you haven't is a bit complicated, and far from foolproof. Frequently it will think you've read posts you actually haven't.

The primary culpret is a restriction to the forum software that's necessary to keep it from overwhelming...
