New to Retouching. Need some Critique

Hey Everyone,

So to start off I am new to retouching. I found these free RAW files online to practice on. I have used Photoshop recreationally on and off for the last several years. I know the basics however this is my first attempt at retouching a photo. I am not sure what is needed but I attached my photo below. Please let me know how I can improve. I really want to get good at this and I am looking for all the help I can get. Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from anyone who is willing to share.

Hi……It looks like all you did was blur the image heavily…..I would study and practice dodge & burn, color adjustment, tone adjustment to start. There are plenty of resources here and You Tube. Keep practicing and studying. Time & patience will make you an improving retoucher. Just blurring an image is a no, no in the higher levels of retouching.
Learn how to smooth skin tones without losing texture……Good Luck

I did try and do some dodge and burn. I did not use any blur however. I do very much appreciate the feedback. I for sure need to learn more specific tone correction and color adjustment. I appreciate your feedback. I will take what you said into action and apply some new skills hopefully.
