I see that the girl is watching the fish but the fish is't watching the girl. I think that the photo miss this connection.

Welcome. I find the foreground objects, particularly the little girl, to be much sharper than the background. Perhaps a layer of fine grain combined with opacity/blend only on them might help? There are several other techniques to hide the composite look, but this can get you started.

Hi, below is the first stage of my surrealistic fantasy montage in Photoshop, combining 5 separate images. It would be much appreciated if anyone would critique my work at this stage and provide any advice to make the images blend more seamlessly to cretae a more 'fantasy' or dreamlike atmosphere.
