  • Full-face to Profile?

Maybe I've been watching too many episodes of CSI but I guess you never know if you don't ask; is there any software or tutorial available which will allow me to convert/render a full-face photo to a profile photo (or vice-versa)? Thanks for any commentaries.

If there are such programs that are capable in calculating pixels depth of an image in the Z axis, or that you're really good in telling depth in 3D by looking at 2D images, it's possible. You'll need to create a 3D model of the head based on the information you have and map the 2D image onto the 3D head and turn it to the side to get the profile. Going the other way would be the same approach excepts that you'll end up with a perfectly symmetrical face.

LOL ! geezer, you cant imagine how much BS they can throw at ppl in those series !
like 2000% zoom on a pedestrian suspect, instand 3D modeling of a criminal based on his DNA, or profiling a criminal based on his take away Big Mac menu.

but these days you can build a 3D model of a person based on 3 photos taken at different angle. even 2 i think.

Just 2, profile and front. Yeah, Hollywood sure made a lot of people think that with the right program, they can just push a couple buttons and voila.
