Very pretty. Very different than what I see in the green hills where I live.

Christian, beautiful scene and excellently processed. Wonderful detail, color and tone.
May I ask if this was processed from a single source image or a bracketed set? If you used multiple source images, which s/w did you use to merge and tonemap?
      Cheers, Murray

Lowell Franga sent me a set of four exposures from the interior of a German church. He asked me to use Photomatrix Pro to demonstrate how I'd go about extending dynamic range.

Well, this coaching session goes a bit beyond Photomatrix. To get as much detail as possible in the stained glass,...

Difference between HDR and faux HDR

This question had been running in my mind for a while, so I would like to know if there's a real difference between shooting different exposures of an object or creating different exposures using Camera Raw?

Long story short: Some (purists) don't accept works done, out of a single photo...

i came across these series of images and i certainly see some sort of "HDR" look in them but due to the location and the large number of images i think they are made form a single shot..i know such a look is possible with a raw file but what about just a single jpg?..i am not familiar with...

Nothing very spectacular here. The first image was a standard photo and the second was a HDR photo. I took three exposures at -2,0,and +2. The HdR showed the background clouds more vividly....
