Any ideas on how to quickly apply a ‘hairline’ border to a print. I essence a very fine line to prevent light areas of an image ‘flowing’ into the paper. There is a border option under File/Print Options (PS6) but this doesn’t appear to do what’s required.
Thanks.
What about using the pen tool to create a working path and then stroke the path using a faint grey? That should give you the light border you're looking for.

What I do,
Choose the color you want for the border (I always choose black, personal pref.) then choose Select>All.... then Edit>Stroke>one pixel....you can barely see it when your done but when I have some white on the edges of a picture I like how it holds it all together.
Couldn't you also set the background color to black (or whatever color you want the border to be) and then increase the canvas size by 2 (or more) pixels for both horizontal & vertical? (That would end up being 1 pixel on both sides.)
