  • remove shadows from sun on face

How can I remove these shadows? I am using Elements 10 and have tried cloning, healing, laso tool and copy and pasting. I'm not pleased with the results I am doing. Can you tell me what to do? Thank you!

I did a few things. Added gradient map with masking and reduced opacity on that layer to start even out skin tones, patch tool, cloning.

OH My Gosh! Thank you! It looks GREAT! I hope the file size will work in my photo book. I will try to figure out the steps you took to achieve this. Again, thank you so much!

Thank you! Your picture looks great as well! I have photoshop Elements 10. I wish I knew the steps that you and Wolfman did so I can do it to the original one then I can print it in a photo book. The image I uploaded is too small.

          Thanks so much!

then post a link to the original from an offsite link.
im sure someone will help out.
you might be able to learn to do it yourself but its not an overnight thing you can learn it takes experience.
it takes alot of curves and dodge and burn

There is a link in the retouching section of a photo with a shadow on the face which member chillin did an excellent job of removing the shadow. He also put of his work flow for all to see.
