How would I go about removing the glare in this photo or is it a lost cause?

    Re: Glare on glasses

A larger image would help to see the possibilities. I looked at it at 300%.
You could select the good eye and drop over the reflected one and carefully work on matching tone.

Thank you! How can I send you the full resolution image? Or what tools did you use?

I used the lasso tool to select the good area and then the move tool to
move it to the other eye. Then I flipped it horizontal. Then I adjusted it to match the tone of the area I dropped it on.

              Welcome to RetouchPRO
Hope you enjoy your stay here and make lots of friends.
              Poke around, have fun!
What photo manipulation software is available to you ?
Just one thing to help the forum... If you use Photoshop you can post fairly large pictures which are under 100k using the 'save for web' function in Photoshop as described in this thread:
(Size, Quality and/or Format your Attached Images..)
The save for web function in the latest Photoshop is hidden under File>Export>Save for web (legacy)
If you want to post a larger resolution that is over 100K then you can host your image elsewhere and attach a link in the thread, but also, always please attach an under 100K version (so the thread remains useful in the future, regardless of external links). (link to the highest resolution.. or the largest size you can upload)
              Welcome aboard !
I copied good eye w/glasses, flipped, free transformed, moved Iris to right a tab, picked color from face , painted highlights

                      Hey,

I'm a newbie and was hoping someone could help me get rid of the glare on the right eye? I tried copying the good eye but wasn't able to match the tone around the new area.

How to remove glare on eyeglass lenses?
                      by Aurock
I have a picture of my wife and I that I think could be made to look fairly nice with the right crop, removing a couple of odd objects, and correcting bad glare on my eyeglasses. I can clone out the pop bottle in front of me and drop it down to size, but how do I get rid of the bright white glare covering...

How to reduce glare on glasses
                      by Mona
                      Hello,

I'm trying to digitally reduce glare on glasses. Are there any tutorials out there (for any program) that someone can point me to?

                      Thanks!
