  • Trouble with canvas

My default setting for making a new canvas WAS RGB. Today the default setting changed to Grayscale. How can I change it back so that my default setting when making a new canvas will be RGB

Assuming you're using Photoshop, it should remember your last setting.

      trouble with canvas

      Doug,

I am using Photoshop 6 but for whatever reason it will not go back to RGB as default. I guess that I'll just have to live with it and hope that the RGB returns as the default setting in time.

      Thanks again.

Well, the old standby answer (until someone else reads this and has some ideas) is to delete your preferences file. Hold down shift-ctrl-alt while starting PS to get that option.

          Doug,

As you can see I'm doing this incorrectly but I wanted to get back to you. For some unknown reason I now have RGB as the default setting. Did absolutely nothing (consciously).

Thank you for your time and effort. I can see that when I get an idea of how this site works it will be invaluable.
