Can anyone tell me how to create the look of torn edges around a picture? I'd appreciate the help!

Torn Edges Tutorial
There are a lot of ways to accomplish this...lasso a rough selection around the edge of your image & delete and if you want to go a step further you can apply PhotoShop filters such as torn edges, ocean ripple, crystallize and so on.

Think I will start a thread in the Studio forum so people can add their torn edges techniques...

There are so many ways to create this effect. So I thought I start a thread here and let everyone share their favorite! If possible please include a picture example of the results of your technique.

I have Photodeluxe and Photoshop. In an old program I used to have, when you cropped a picture, it asked you if you wanted a "soft" edge or a "hard" edge. I can't find anything like that anymore.
